Emporia turns itself inside out for Dirty Kanza Weekend. There will be lots to do and see in our little Flint Hills town, and we’d love to have you even if you didn’t get your shot at the 200. We’ve re-opened the 25 mile distance for those that want to come and enjoy the weekend and get a smaller sample of the gravel. Please don’t forget – transfers are still an option until April 1.
Friday, you can join us for the All Things Gravel Expo. This expanded event will see sponsors and vendors from across the industry joining us to talk shop and show the goods from 10am – 7pm. We will also have three round table discussions at the historic Granada Theatre that will provide some great topics of conversation. Salsa Cycles will add an hour of videos to inspire the adventurer in all of us. The DKXL Crew of 34 will roll out on Friday afternoon at 4pm.
Saturday is the BIG role out – 6am and thousands of cyclist is quite the sight. Bring your cowbells and whistles – it’s fun to make noise and send everyone off! Check point towns of Madison and Eureka will be hopping through out the the day. Then, the moment we all are waiting for – the Dirty Kanza Finish Line Celebration. We know it will be worth you while to make the trip!
