Dirty Kanza Promotions is committed to getting more women on bikes. To that end, we aim to see 200 women riding in the Dirty Kanza 200. We are encouraging all women to join in this movement because we know you can “find your limit”, and smash 200 miles.
Though women only made up 10% of riders in the DK200 in 2016, the female finish rate and time was IDENTICAL to male finishers! The only thing that was not equal was the participation ratio!
Over the coming weeks, Dirty Kanza Promotions will be working hard and partnering with our sponsors to encourage and empower more women to strive for something a little outside their comfort zone. Be on the lookout for videos and profiles of women who have set lofty goals, overcome barriers and have been rewarded with life enriching experiences. We will also be empowering women through educational clinics, seminars and trainings, and will be encouraging others to do the same. To ensure women have the opportunity to participate in 2017, Dirty Kanza Promotions has secured 200 spots in the DK200 specifically for women.
Please help us spread the word by sharing our content, sharing your own stories using the hashtag below, and encouraging other women to set the bar high, attempt to “find their limit” and realize, as you have, that it resides much further down the gravel road!
