As you know, next week was supposed to be our annual celebration in the Flint Hills of Kansas, and the 15th annual Garmin Dirty Kanza. Well, things didn’t quite pan out that way, and though we’re still planning on seeing all of your faces on our rescheduled date of September 12th, we’d be remiss if we didn’t gather the troops and bang on the drum during what was intended to be our 2020 Dirty Kanza race weekend.
The official state motto of Kansas is the Latin phrase “Ad Astra Per Aspera” which translates “To the Stars Through Difficulty.” The motto refers not only to the pioneering spirit of the early settlers, but also is a reference to the seven-year struggle to make the Territory of Kansas a state. Wow, how powerful given our current climate. And with that, through the stars and space (and really…technology) we bring you a week of Dirty Kanza – Ad Astra Edition!
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to pull off a fun week of activities for you to join in on from anywhere around the world. Check it out and join us next week!
